super sunday

me and alison outside the gypsy moth

i woke up at 11 am today, hung over beyond belief from the super strong mulled wines from the night before. my flatmate wasn't faring any better as she had gone out dancing with friends that night, and woke up after me. oh my. we were quite the pair. i had just enough time to shower and hope on the national rail, then tube, then DLR to meet Alison in Greenwich. Cully Sark is a great place to hang out and I must take Gina there next week.

Alison and I had a proper roast beast/yorkie pudding lunch and some pints at the Gypsy Moth pub, and I had the pleasure of meeting her cousin Hamish and his lovely wife Allie as well. What a great afternoon, with me, of course, having 2 pints and continuing my buzz from the night before. seriously, i could also become an alcoholic here. so many beers to try in so little time. I also got to meet Alison's partner Vito and his cousin Antonino (and fudge my way through some bad Italian), as well as got a Christmas card designed by little Nico. He drew a Christmas River, and as Alison said, who knew Christmas had a river and maybe it'll catch on!

I scrambled home in time for a glass of wine and dessert with my flatmate and her friends that came over for dinner - Jonathan and Hannah. I had met Hannah before and she's quite lovely. We also played Wii, and I think that their fondness for me quickly evaporated as being the pro I am at tennis and bowling and baseball, I kept winning, so inevitabley, I stopped playing. Although when it came to making my wii mii, i zipped through that too and that just added to my status of Wii Champion. I've built my stupid wii mii on several wii's so none of it is sacred to me anymore. oh well.

it was interesting playing wii with the british...they're still so very composed. but i heard the word 'bugger' a lot! ha ha

and then this morning, i log onto facebook and find Rose's lovely note. what a beautiful gal she is - a sister indeed.
