my glaring absence

i know...its been a while since i've blogged but let me tell you why.

i'm flat hunting.

what started out as a fun activity of looking for flats online, looking at pictures and floor plans at estate agent websites has turned into a massive brain drain.

i spend every second looking for flats. the joy has been sucked out of me.

i can't believe how much it costs to live in the neighbourhoods we want to live in. we're looking central, like marylebone (our primary target), notting hill, regent's park, primrose hill, chelsea (i could be joe cole's neighbour...well, not really but we would live in the same postal code), pimlico and bayswater (yes, where it all began). but i really love marylebone. the high street is full of people like me. 30 something singles who live life to the fullest.

the only problem...the price tag doesn't match what we're looking for. yes, we can get 2 bedrooms but they're microscopic. but to be one block away from fresh...is it worth the sacrifice? ok, i know the answer to that one, but i digress. its amazing how one store can bring such happiness.

i would also be paying out £350 more per month to live there, which means....i can't just pack up and go away for a weekend somewhere. is that worth the sacrifice too? probably not. but maybe for six months?

man alive. i need some advice. anyone got any?
