a home delivery

today, i did something i have never done before. i ordered groceries online from sainsbury's and then had them delivered. so.much.fun. its times like these where london seems fresh again!

speaking of fresh...just a word of the wise...do NOT order fresh produce for home delivery from sainsbury's....it doesn't work well...especially with the raspberries.

i know, i'm a loser and a geek when it comes to stuff like that but wow - it was such a lifesaver for me. i can't even imagine trying to carry all those groceries from the shops to my flat!

friday night is my night for come dine with me, where i need to wow my guests with my culinary skills and hopefully i score well....we all take turns cooking, we all score eachother, and the winners get....well, i don't know, but you can bet it won't be £1000 like on the tv show.

jo had the first night where she fed us roasted tomato, chilli and coriander soup with bread, fish pie with superfood salad, and a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice creat. well, i had to up the anti...

as they come in i'll feed them gorgozola cheese with roasted almonds, berries and honey...with some prosecco. after i ply them with enough bubbly, i'll then serve baked goat cheese with parma ham served with a fougasse and a pinot grigio. we'll then cleanse our palate on some citrus gelato. once finished, we'll try to make room for the homemade cannelloni (cheese/spinach and beef), mixed greens with sesame maple dressing and then further plying them with pinot grigio. we'll end with a slice of red velvet cake, tea and a shot of some fine canadian ice wine. oh, and perhaps...a special surprise at the end...some chocolate covered sea salt caramels from bailey and sage. Y.U.M.

i am going to miss bailey and sage when i leave wimbledon, but i digress.

if you want the recipes i'll have to send them to you. most of them are in my head...except for the red velvet cake.

and on a completely unrelated note...chris and martin hope on a plane to come see me tomorrow. squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
