it was a busy weekend and thankfully bim was there on friday night to take some pics. i keep forgetting my camera!
friday night was a huge social night with the new-to-me colleagues at work where we started with libations at stonehorse paper cow (I think its become our place to go on a rriday) followed by some dancing at vibe bar. now for those of you from the pass…you can understand when i say that the grand union actually looks classy next to the vibe bar, but i digress. there was much dancing to be had and ergo, much fun. i got to swing with mark, do a little bobby brown/my prerogative, and show off my classic movies (toe heel up, side together side, we bend and scoop the left). long live paula abdul.
saturday was just a regular day but a walk was needed, so i walked from home to covent garden and back. it was one of those days where there was mist all about so it didn’t matter if you had an umbrella or not, you just had to submit to the fact that you were going to get wet. i ended back at my hood and met my new friend abi for coffee…i love my neighbourhood. hopefully i can stay there once dee leaves, but if not, at least i can say i had 6 or so months of true london living…classy style.
that night i head over to my friend jo’s for her 30th birthday party and met even more new people, but in true fashion, dee took over the kitchen and i assisted. until of course she sliced her finger and then i had to dispense the cake. ater an exhausting weekend, you’d think i would have taken it easy on sunday night. instead, me, hoho and aleksandra made our way to beicester village. holy outlet shopping heaven. unbelievably, i spent nothing because of my upcoming trip (more on that later).
i tried to bake a cake for our charity bake sale for Monday but ya, that didn’t happen. too exhausting! In fact, monday for some reason has become my day of recovery from the exhausting weekends. when will i rest???
