finally, the end of the week

this was such a long week, but very rewarding work wise. my user group was this week and it went very well. what more can you ask for? it was nice to stay in the hilton for a few days and just be pampered. great location! and the freebies in the room were nice too. all the stuff was from crabtree and evelyn, not any products i have used before, but it was real nice. the only bummer was that someone was smoking on my non smoking floor. i normally don't care about things like that, but i draw the line when it comes to where i sleep. know what i mean?

anyhoo, its time for the conference to end and i go to find my keys and....i can't find them. doh! i forgot them in my flat, and my flatmate has gone to the lake district for the weekend. i was locked out. lucky for me, i took a detour and saw some historical sights via taxi to find louise, my landlady who had an extra set. thank god! i had to get home...i had to get to my canadiana pub crawl with the ladies!

we started at the maple leaf and really, we stayed there for a majority of the evening. it was nice to not have an accent for a few hours, and not worry about saying words like 'pants' and not talking about your underwear. i was understood people! ha ha. it was a ton of fun, and its great to meet new people from home. and boy did we laugh. i think my stomach hurts from too much of it!

speaking of home, 7 more sleeps til i make my way to calgary. can't wait to see jonah and madison and mom and is and dave. and the boys. and the girls. and fran. and the wedding. wow, its going to be a jam packed week and it'll be over in no time.
