annie's brother and dad
today i went to the national portrait gallery to check out the annie liebovitz exhibit and wow, it was incredible. there were a few faves of mine in the collection, and so many more that i had never seen (which is expected).
i saw:
she truly is an amazing photographer. and her story told through pictures. of the birth of her daughters and the deaths of her father and best friend/partner, Susan Sontag were amazing. and the pictures of her kids are so adorable...especially sarah. i truly adore her photography.
although the naivety of some of those looking at the exhibit...saying things like 'oh, she and that susan girl were great friends...looks like they spent so much time together'. UM HELLO....LESBIANS!!!! some people are so sheltered...or daft...or both.
and then, i checked out the Tudor gallery...yay! it was soooooo cool. i love anything to do with the tudors...and gina louise if you were with me, you would have been in tudor heaven!
and just when i thought my day couldn't get any better....
i'm walking towards the tube station to go home...and i happen to be passing the york theatre, where no man's land is playing, and guess who walks out! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
david waliams and michael gambon. i was so excited, my pic of walliams didn't work out, so i took my time with michael gambon...and they both smiled at me, said hi. so very excited. i wish someone was with me so that they could take a pic of me with them. i met albus frickin' dumbledore! i was a bit start struck...and a bit shaky. who knew a legend like gambon could make me quake.
and again, walliams, hot in person. but i keep equating his voice saying things like 'whatevah' and 'i'm a lady!'...sigh...
awesome Gio wish I was there to see this. Maybe next visit?
