sunrise, sunset

hey all - i know, i know, its been a while and the posts are less frequent. what can i say, life happens and really, do you really want to know things like i'm eating beet and turnip soup and its pink so it looks like dessert? its fantastic by the way.

last week was the week of securing tickets to some of my favorite things: travel, plays, music and footie. i'm heading off to see my sister in aberdeen this weekend and it should be fun. we're aiming to go to edinburgh, stonehaven and of course, chill out in aberdeen. i'll let you know where i go, but rumor has it we're going to malmaison one night and its supposedly posh!

following aberdeen is another chelsea game (go blues!) as they take on wigan. i think of wigan fondly as if it weren't for francis rigby, i never would have heard of it in the first place. i won't see joe or carlo (sob, traded to the spurs) but hopefully what i will see is a victory. and their new manager. then, the weekend after that is another aberdeen weekend (its the sista's bday) followed by SNOW PATROL! sa-weet. i love snow patrol. of course, i don't know their new album so i better start listening! then after snow patrol there's a couple of plays including Ronnie Burkett's Billy Twinkle (so excited to see him in London) and my James McAvoy on stage. and yes, i got spitting distance seats. sigh.

hopefully, i can fit in a six nation's rugby game in there somewhere. i'm trying real hard.

in the mean time, i am getting ready for some visits. i have a visit from susie melnyk coming up (which is very exciting - she and a friend are coming for a weekend visit and i will meet up with them post snow patrol), my sister and her hubby are coming, then my friend brandy and before i know it, my holiday to greece is here and BOOM, i'm 9 months into my 'year but now 2' in England. wow.

last night my neighbors came over for dinner and we had a great time. aside from the fabulous food and homemade bellini's, they brought over some schnapps and wow - that stuff was great. and suprisingly enough, they brought over some oat biscuits from IKEA that tasted EXACTLY like anne dancek's oat cookies when we were kids. and the best thing is you can buy them at IKEA at any time. guess where i'm going next weekend? i want tins of these cookies.

and finally, last weekend, i went to kingston and what a shopping mecca. i'm in love with john lewis. its a great store. i bought a lumie sunrise body clock and will probalby buy the cutest little door stop EVER. a little scottish terrier. CUTE!
