what a beauty of a day...
a group of us head out to brighton today, including kate, dee, hannah, and new friends sandra and catroina. what fun!
of course the first thing we did was find a place to eat, so we found Louis on the pier and had some white coffee, nuts, banoonies, and the girls ordered cheese on toast. after basking in the sunlight we head over to the brighton pier where we checked out the games and the rides, and dee was the only one game to go on the roller coaster with me. it had a loop-dee-loop which made me happy. then naturally, once that was done, we decided to head over to the beach and....EAT. we dove into some fish and chips and mushy peas. i was going to try the battered sausage, but i guess the thing at brighton is to eat fish and chips.
afterward we head over to shop along the lanes with a bunch of quaint shops. we found this pub...the fish bowl, where the bartenders took dirty glasses, rinsed them, and then served in the glass again. gross! the key is to drink from the bottle. :) we also went to ollie and nic, which oddly enough reminded me of matt and nat. we tried to get to shakeaway but we ran out of time. i suppose its a reason to go back!
so we hopped on the train at 5:30, completely exhausted...and poor hannah was quite burned. i'm pooped.
dee has had an iPhone for 6 months and just learned how to power it off. love it.
