a mid week blog...clearly i've some spare time

consider this a lucky day...a mid week blog!

as i wrap up my projects in london and hand them over to my colleagues i have less and less work to do here. it makes for long days but when the work does come in, either from canada or from the uk, i'm all over it. i need to learn to slow down so they occupy my time a bit more.

tuesday night was a lot of fun as me, chris, michelle and james head over to the roxy in brixton for a disney/pixar pub quiz. wow, can you say 'right up gio's alley'. i was totally in my element. we got 4th place, which was decent since we hadn't played as a team before. the quiz was stellar! we had to guess the villains, listen to sound only clues, guess from pictures and questions...so much fun. my fave question was along the lines of who are tod and copper better known as. sigh....my first cinematic disney experience. how could i not remember the fox and the hound? remember when they met? that's corey feldman as little copper.

it inspired me to create a pub quiz (in my spare time...) either for disney or maybe even lord of the rings or harry potter. but then what do i do with them? james suggested a family night (maybe something to do at christmas when we're stuck inside and we're all full of mom's cooking).

wednesday saw me in epsom for one last day...thanks to chris. he offered up his flat as a place for me to work from home (and michelle came over too) so it was great to take the train out, walk through the sleepy town and enjoy one last day in my first workplace. they took me for lunch at the rubbing house at the epsom track (where the infamous derby is held every june). there are some great views 'up on the downs' and you can actually see london from up there. it was fantastic. i also got to play an hour or so of harry potter lego on x-box (thanks chris) before heading back to clapham.

i felt a little sad leaving epsom...
