what a bizarre week...
i played badminton again, and my record is still pretty good...and dave stringer is a killer player, so we made a great team! but i think the most bizarre thing about this week was that on tuesday night, we had a dead mouse in the house. i thought the little sh!t had moved out, but he found his way back in. needless to say, he was found basically headless in d's room - of course he had to get caught in one of the deadly traps and not one of the living capture systems, but really, had we just released him, it looks like he'd of made his way back in again. its cold outside and he was looking for some warmth. lucky for me, d's room is the warmest in the house!
but i get to be away from the house for a couple of nights post mortem, and am at the london hilton on park lane across from hyde park. its a nice hotel - not quite as swanky as the sheraton in knightsbridge, but pretty darned nice. i like to be spoiled...and here's the best part. we're holding a user group meeting here this week and i have been planning this meeting since september, so its nice to see it come to fruition. and so yesterday, i ran into my meeting coordinator for the hilton, and she asked if i was staying, i said yes, and she asked if i had checked in, and i said yes, and she asked what room i was in, so i told her. and later that night, there was a bottle of iced champagne delivered to my room. how sweet was that?
we went for dinner last night to a nearby tapas place, called el pirata and it was very very yummy. and then i got home, and watched the second half of the chelski game and we came from behind to win. yay. but joe was injured. boo.
so not much happening in my little sphere, and i have no idea what i'm going to do this weekend, but on friday, i'm meeting my canadian girls and we're going on a pub crawl. should be fun! we are starting at the maple leafe for a pint of canadian beer, then we'll see what sort of trouble we can get into. yay!
Please remember to document for Rosie et all as we are living through your adventure from CA.
