mouse in the house

oh.my.god....

dee and i thought we'd clean the flat today, which was great....and just as i was settling in to read a bit before hitting the pavement, she comes running in the living room saying 'oh my god, i just saw a mouse' and we both FREAKED. she went into her room and he followed her in running around and she jumped on her bed, screaming and there was mass hysteria. so we called our upstairs neighbor daniel to come over and catch it...the thing was probably one inch big (no word of a lie) and daniel thought it was pretty damned funny, but man, we were all shook up.

so, we walked to the hardware store together (neither of us wanted to be alone in the house in case the mouse came back) and bought a gazillion (ok, only 6) mouse traps just in case. we now have one in every room in the house.

so we well right had the heebie jeebies and couldn't stay home...so we went to the movies, saw Che (holy crap, great film) and then went out for thai. we're back now, and its 11:30 and i'm hope to god it doesn't come back and in my room. i will cry. dee's like...if it comes back, we're moving. ha ha

although i don't know why i ha ha because i'll be out the door as soon as she says go.

i need to make sure my sheets don't touch the floor tonight. i dont' want any unwanted bed mates. and my uggs are my new slippers. i somehow feel a touch protected when i have them on.

ok...i hope i sleep tonight.

i need a boyfriend. this way, i can get him to come over and kill it, or at minimum, i could stay somewhere mouse free for the night.
