the hols continue

so as of today i'm officially on holiday - giddyup!

the last day of work was right proper...so ok, because of the week's feast, i ended up at market mall thursday night and dear god, i didn't eat dinner. in fact i didn't even eat breakfast and good thing because on friday afternoon, we ended up ordering chinese (and a motherload of it) and played wii all afternoon. much joy. i rocked the drums and even the mike, but totally suck at the guitar. i kept forgetting to strum. but wow...i did pretty good with mario kart. :)

friday night was a night in eating (of course) some tastey indian and drinking some dom. gina's become quite the cook while i've been away - well, she's kind of had to right? and i wish i could tell you more about the weekend aside from shopping and eating, but i did get some good visits in. on saturday i saw the trows and i haven't seen them in ages...rick decided on an italian feast (dear god...seriously!) and we ate so much that we couldn't even get to dessert. we bbq'd (yum) and it was so amazing. then on sunday, i met chantal and ellis (the newest boychuck-murrays). so fricking cute. and guess what? ended up at the neighbours for dinner.

i have to say, my day on my own has resulted in some normalcy! i saw my gran Fran...she just turned 87. i was so happy to see her. then i decided to walk home (ok, something i do all the time in london but even more crazy as the big fat snow falls in -15 degree weather)...so decided to stop at lina's to pick up some italian goodies for mom and run into carm and tony...buying what i swear is half a cow for the family dinner on the 26th. at least i will have 4 days of mom's cooking to prepare me for the big family doo at carm and tony's. he's flooded the back yard (if you know tony...you know he's on an acre so there's room) and we 're going skating. he also has a toboggan hill in the back. i love our family doo's at their house.

but i have to say its also been a week of bad news. chris and martin were broken into. luckily the jack ass didn't have much time to grab stuff so they only got the tv and the ipods. and i think that martin will now be on tv...as the break in was so easy...something everyone should know about. i'll post the link when it airs (tomorrow i think). and i also found out my auntie teresa isn't doing so good. i really hope i get to see her this week before she moves to her health care facility in london. she's been a part of my life from day one, so it would kill me if i can't get to see her this christmas. so i pray for time...
