sorry - its been a while

whasup?

i honestly can't remember what i did this week so clearly, it was uneventful. although i did make it to central london this week for work and the highlight of that trip was the shopping spree at M&S on the way home.

that being said, thursday night was yet another great night at the granby...and sad to report that our days at the granby are numbered. our epsom office is moving to central london. giddyup. just think of all the pubs we'll have access to for friday night beers. so, back to thursday...we drank way too much and of course the inevitable arguement came out...and I DID NOT START IT THIS TIME. its the UK english versus what the rest of the world speaks. and i have to say, hoho did his best, as did juli to take on george and james. i just laughed for 2 hours straight as the decibals kept rising. the best part was sharing the chicken kabob with hoho on the train home. it was awesome. mmmmmmmmmm

waiting for the play to start

anyhoo - is and dave made it here on friday (yay) so this week is going to be a tourist-y one. i haven't played tourist in a while. we had quite the full day - we started off at covent garden (boys are stupid, throw rocks at them), then we went to lion king (review to follow) and then to the canada store (and i found clamato, kd, and root beer - wahoo), then for a very long walk through leicster and picadilly (i know, broken record) and to busaba (again - mmmm) and then for a walk to the parliament buildings. there was a huge protest, so we b-lined it for waterloo and headed home. it was a loooooooooooooooooong day.

ok - lion king. it was a good show but not my fave. if you only had one day to spend at the theatre in london, i'd skip it, but if you were here for a while, then ya...go see it. there are better plays here, but the props/costumes alone make it worth seeing. i'm too tired to write much else, so whatever. buy me a coffee sometime and i'll tell you all about it. or go see it in calgary when it gets there later this summer.
