happy anniversary

so one year ago today, i launched this blog with my very first post...and it was me telling the world that i sold my baby....so i guess this means that since its been a year, i can no longer talk about MINI. time to officially move on.

and speaking of moving on, my dear friend erin is leaving london and heading back to ontario. its sad to lose one of such few good friends (albeit a canadian one too eh?) but i will never forget erin. she came hybrid hunting with me and showed me where to get my tim hortons fix in picadilly if i ever need one.

but something tells me not to be too worried as i think she'll be back here soon. canada is not her destiny, and perhaps it isn't the uk either, but she's meant to live abroad. and i'm sure that wherever she ends up next, she'll stop by for a visit

so, i guess i need to hold auditions for gio's next top expat...any takers? i need to figure out a grueling audition process. it can't be too easy you know. but like the auditions for calgary's next top marketer, i expect to see talent (preferably singing the little mermaid's part of your world), i expect to see evening gowns (men too), and i want a good answer to 'if you were the next top expat, what would you wish for'. the answer better be a meek 'world peace'.
